Asmar Ismayilova MCiarb is a dispute resolution lawyer with over 13 years of experience spanning arbitration, mediation, litigation, and legislative drafting. She currently serves as Legal Manager at the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority (AFEZA), where she has been instrumental in developing its arbitration and mediation frameworks. She previously interned with the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) in New York, contributing to research, publications, and thought leadership on emerging trends in international arbitration and mediation.

Her academic path includes an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law (USA) and summa cum laude degrees in International Law and Human Rights from Baku State University. Alongside her practice, she lectures on Alternative Dispute Resolution at Baku State University and consults on international projects fostering mediation and access to justice.

Asmar is a Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Azerbaijan Bar Association, and Regional representative of the AIAC Young Practitioners' Group. She actively contributes to the global arbitration community through teaching, consultancy, and publications on arbitration and mediation.
