Jacques Covo

Mr. Covo is a highly respected Legal Advisor to Commodity Trading Companies and Consultant to Law Firms worldwide in matters of commodity arbitrations. A former member of the FOSFA International & Gafta: The Grain and Feed Trade Association Contracts Committees and Appeal (Arbitration) Boards, he brings exceptional expertise in soft commodities, traders, dry shipping, and international trade, representing traders across the globe.

With law degrees from the University of Geneva (LL.M.) and the University of Grenoble (I.E.C.G. Diploma), as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Arbitration and Comparative Law from McGill University, Mr. Covo has built an impressive career, starting as in-house counsel at Finagrain S.A. (Geneva) before establishing his own arbitration practice. He is also an ICC Arbitrator (Swiss Panel) and is trilingual in English, French, and Turkish.
