Turgut Aycan Özcan

Turgut Aycan Özcan is the founding partner of Özcan Legal. He has been practicing in the field of international arbitration for over 10 years. His main areas of expertise include International Investment Arbitration and Commercial Arbitration, Public International Law, and Energy Law.

To date, he has represented Turkish investors in numerous ICSID arbitration proceedings initiated against several Central Asian and Middle Eastern states. In addition, he has also been part of teams representing states in ICSID cases.

Mr. Özcan acts as counsel in international commercial arbitration proceedings, particularly in construction and energy disputes, before the ICC and other arbitral institutions. He also serves as an arbitrator in international commercial arbitration proceedings and is listed as an arbitrator with the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC).

Turgut Aycan Özcan has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal/Lexology as one of the Future Leaders in Arbitration in Türkiye for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025.
