Atty. Dr. Gizem Yılmaz

Gizem Yılmaz graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law and specialized in private law disputes in practice. She is currently the co-founding partner of Topuz & Partners Consulting and Law Office, where she primarily practices in the fields of international contracts law, construction and real estate law, arbitration and dispute resolution, private international law, commercial law, law of obligations, property law, foreigners and family law, and inheritance law.

In addition to her legal practice as a registered member of the Istanbul Bar Association, she also serves as a mediator and expert witness. She is a member of the Council of Europe Schools of Political Studies and the Istanbul Arbitration Association (ISTA), as well as a board member of the Informatics and Technology Law Association.

Yılmaz completed her LL.M. in European Union Law and earned her Ph.D. in private law at Marmara University. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research as a visiting doctoral researcher at the International Arbitration Centre within the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London. She has contributed to legal scholarship through two books, book chapters, conference papers, and peer-reviewed articles. Her academic work has also included micro-level studies on emerging fields such as artificial intelligence law and ethics.

She currently serves as the Secretary General of the Arbitration Law Centre of the Istanbul Bar Association and lectures at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University.
